Happy Sunday on this (lovely?) Memorial Day weekend!
I’ve showed you my menace of Cthulhus and posted the story of their bunny hunt. Since I started making them last fall, I’ve made a bunch for good friends, sold some commissions, traded some, etc. I decided about a month or so ago that I should set up an Etsy store where I can sell them, so that’s (along with improving my photography setup) June’s project.
I will probably have to keep at least a dozen because what’s a girl to do without a bunch of Cthulhus around her?
I’m off to a great start this Memorial Day weekend, since Kelly Dawson made me this adorable logo based on photos of the crocheted Cthulhus:
Isn’t that the cutest thing? I have a domain arkhamarchivist.com and Twitter account @cthulhuchick
but there’s really nothing up on either yet, just things that I decided to sit on when I started using that name on the HP Podcraft forums in case I wanted to blog about it or somesuch.
When I get everything finished & set up, I’ll post about it. Just wanted to share the drawing today! Very pleased with how it turned out.
Some fun posts from last week, mostly geeky humor with one serious one:
- In honor of Towel Day, Girls are Geeks posted a “Mostly Harmless Guide to Life” made up of 42 things she & friends learned from Douglas Adams’s books.
- Jason sent me a link to a Design Outside the Box talk from DICE 2010 which is worth the 1/2 hour to watch. Interesting ideas about life & gaming in the future…and not console gaming, what gaming is turning into. Scary & plausible & interesting.
- This Pink Raygun post made me laugh a lot Sex and the City 2: Desperately Dated Chick Fest or Genre Crossing Stunner?. They made a convincing and hilarious case for the latter.
- Don’t read it… but Topless Robot totally highlighted a Fanfic of Professor Trelawney/Dobby. If you do read, have brain bleach handy.
Have a safe and fun Memorial Day weekend!
