Cuddly Cthulhu, ChefThulhu, & Halloween Cthulhu

I had a busy week last week with 7 Cthulhu commissions (including one from the Innsmouth Free Press for their Poe Haiku contest). Two of them branched out from the regular Tiny Cthulhus I’ve been making.

Cuddly Cthulhu

The first was a Cuddly Cthulhu. The pattern is also from Cthulhu Crochet and the Cthulhu is a bit taller and a lot more snuggly than the Tiny Cthulhus. I couldn’t resist giving him a few cuddles while working on him.

I won’t be stocking Cuddly Cthulhus in the store because they’re more work and a bit more expensive than Tiny Cthulhus, but you can commission one on Etsy or contact me to order it privately.

ChefThulhu

ChefThulhu was an interesting challenge. GameCouch is putting together a Geek Cookbook and asked me if I could create a chef’s hat-wearing Cthulhu as a mascot for it.

At first I wasn’t sure how I’d make a tiny Chef’s hat, but after some brainstorming and a little trial & error, I came up with a pattern for it. I was shipping it out the next morning, so I didn’t have a chance to get it in a photo session, so here’s the pic I took before packing it up (hoping that Game Couch will take more!):

Since others have expressed interest in it, I’ve also added a place to commission one on Etsy (and am already working on the second ChefThulhu commission).

Halloween Cthulhu

This Halloween, worry less about the Great Pumpkin rising and more about Cthulhu!

Because it’s that time of year, I’ve started making Halloween Cthulhus. They’re all dressed up and ready for Halloween. The first one is already listed on Etsy and I’ll add more to the listing as I make them. The second is underway! (I’m sure you can ignore the sinister way the stars are aligning in the Munchkin Cthulhu card the Halloween Cthulhu found…)

And a bonus shot! For size comparison & because they were hanging out together:
