Romance Novel Live-Tweeting

Ever since I was a teen, I’ve gone through phases of reading romance novels. I tend to like the Regency stuff (all I read as a teen was Georgette Heyer), but as an adult I’ve begun to branch out a bit when the mood takes me. For years, I worked in shelving positions at various county libraries. One kind of romance that intrigued and amused me was that published in skinny books with outrageous titles like The Greek Billionaire’s Kidnapped Virgin Pregnant Wife of Conveneince.

It wasn’t until a couple years ago that I tried one, laughed a lot, and decided these were definitely NOT for me. Then Twitter happened. I was bored one night, I’d been reading Smart Bitches, Trashy Books and I decided to use my county’s OverDrive to check out a book which I’d then live-tweet. The first book was Desert Prince, Defiant Virgin and those tweets are, sadly, lost. When I tried it again six months later, I decided I’d use a hashtag tracking service.

I don’t know how often I’ll do these, but I’m hoping to do it more frequently as it’s a really fun way to pass an evening. A list of links to the live-tweeted posts is below:
